UPDATE: Relocation of FozzyFest for September 14-17, 2017 – FozzyFest 2018!

UPDATE: Relocation of FozzyFest for September 14-17, 2017

Hello beautiful ones,

Thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult situation. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people and communities affected by the forest fires. The FozzyFest Organizing Committee’s primary concern and responsibility is the health and safety of our patrons and community. The East Kootenay region is still experiencing extreme fire conditions and a crown land closure. The region that includes Big Springs is under an evacuation alert and the air quality is quite poor. Attempting to hold FozzyFest in the region under the circumstances would add considerable stress to an already stressful situation for authorities. Therefore, we entirely agree with the authorities’ decision to not allow the festival to take place there this season.

However, we are FozzyFest. We are Resilient. We thrive on energy, creativity, community and love. We encompass GOOD VIBES and will continue on…

#FozzyFest2017 is RELOCATING! We will hold this year’s event at the beautiful Metis Crossing Campground in Smoky Lake, AB.

We were close to a sell out but with this alternate location, we can open up additional ticket sales and some RV Passes. People of Edmonton, we’re coming to your backyard! To show our support for those affected by the #bcwildfires, a portion of all remaining 2017 ticket sales will be donated to the wildfire fighting efforts in the RDEK (regional district of East Kootenay).

It is very important that no one enters the region near Big Springs due to the unsafe conditions and the potential to spark a fire. If you know anyone who is planning on attending FozzyFest that may not follow traditional media outlets, please advise them of the venue change and this message. Let’s work together on this.

With the full event proceeding, we will not be issuing refunds on any tickets. We understand that travel distance will be longer for some, and it will be shorter for others.

Come join us at Metis Crossing next weekend. The shindig is on!

Keep Calm & Fozzy On
